Earwax can be a Determinant of Body Odor

Body odor is a very scary thing for women. In fact, 95 percent of American and European women regularly use deodorant. Indeed, many people can not be separated from deodorant. Their study, published in 2013 in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, examined 6,495 mothers who had previously been involved in long-term health studies, since they gave birth in 1991 or 1992. About 2%, which is about 117 people, had the ABCC11 gene or we can call it "fragrance gene". Reporting from Smithsonian Magazine, actually researchers already know the existence of the gene, but their research focuses on earwax or earwax. People with this rare gene usually have dry earwax, not wet or sticky like most people. One variant of ABCC11, which is usually found in people of East Asian descent, causes dry, white earwax and less body odor. This gene is also mostly found in East Asian people, such as Japanese and Koreans. Another variant of the gene, mostly found among people of African and European descent, causes earwax to become wet and yellow-brown in color, and is also more likely to cause body odor. Researchers have not determined what the relationship between these genes and dry earwax and body odor does not sting. But they believe that it is related to the production of amino acids. Breeding bacteria make sweat smelly, whereas those with low amino acids make bacteria unable to thrive.
